My cockatiel keeps pecking his back. Its raw.Could someone tell me is there medicine or cream. Its really bad.?

I would take him to the vet. Your bird is plucking probably because he is bored and not getting enough mental stimulation. You need to spend more time with him and get him some new toys.My cockatiel keeps pecking his back. Its raw.Could someone tell me is there medicine or cream. Its really bad.?
If your cockatiel is pecking it's back until it's raw, your cockatiel needs to see an avian vet. This is a serious matter. There are many reasons why cockatiels pluck their own feathers being boredom, stress, hormonal imbalances, nutrtional deficiencies, and illness. An avian vet can help you determine why your cockatiel is plucking its feathers and suggest the best treatment for it. I wouldn't self-medicate your cockatiel. Many of those medications don't work well and may not work at all if you're treating the wrong problem. My cockatiel keeps pecking his back. Its raw.Could someone tell me is there medicine or cream. Its really bad.?
Take your bird to the vet.

Make sure the bird has enough room in the cage to spread its wings, always has food and fresh water. There shouldn't be to much toys, two or three toys is enough. If this happened after you took his mirror away but the mirror back inside the cage. Is the bird getting enough time outside his cage? Make sure the cage isn't near a window or door. move around the toys that are in the birds cage weekly to keep the bird from getting bored. Get some natural wood perches not smooth ones so his feet aren't sore. Don't put the bird next to a TV or someplace where its to loud. Keep the bird in a room where there are people instead of always being alone. Do you have any other pets in the room such as cats or dogs that could make him stressed?
go to a parrot store they have medicine for that
